U.S. Military M1840 Style Sword. Cavalry Blade measures 32.5" with a OAL length of 39". Blade is very good with much original finish and some scattered age patina, wear, blade is smooth and blade edge looks great and not sharpened. Brass handle is tight with no looseness, handle guard is stamped, "AHC, the ricasso area of blade is stamped, "U.S. AHC 1863/ MADE BY AMES MFG. CO. CHICOPEE/MASS". No Scabbard. See photos.
