Print depicts in a historically correct detail---In vain, General Bee of SC attempted to reform his battered brigade to face the advancing Union regiments at Bull Run. Few responded to his pleas. Scanning the field for help, he noticed a long gray column forming behind Henry House Hill. Bee spurred his horse toward the unknown reserves and located the brigade\'s commander--an unassuming officer dressed in a well worn blue uniform from VMI. General Bee exclaimed, \"they are beating us back\" and pointed to the edge of the hill the enemy were approaching. \" Then sir\" replied the officer \" we will give them the bayonet!\". Bee turned his horse and headed back to his troops shouting \" Look!. There is Jackson standing like a stone wall! Rally behind the Virginians!\" Through perseverance, luck and the determination of the college professor, the South won the First battle of Bull Run. Here was born the symbol of the Confederacy and for Southern generations to come--the legacy that was \"Stonewall\" Jackson.
