Hand signed 4x6 inch photo by Vietnam War vet, Chuck Mawhinney. Chuck Mawhinney was a highly skilled Marine Corps sniper whoserved in the Vietnam War from May 1968 to March 1970. He gained recognitionfor his exceptional marksmanship, with 103 confirmed kills and another 216probable kills, averaging about four kills per week. This made him thedeadliest sniper in the history of the Marine Corps.

One of his most notable engagements occurred on Valentine’sDay, 1969, when he stopped a Viet Cong assault by hitting 16 headshots in 30seconds at night in bad weather. Mawhinney’s story remained largely unknown forover 25 years after his service in Vietnam, until he was featured in Joseph T.Ward’s book “Dear Mom: A Sniper’s Vietnam” in 1991. This led to furtherrecognition and invitations to speak at events and conventions, where he sharedhis experiences and advice on becoming a proficient sniper.
