This is a complete sequentially certified set of 40 Christopher Rush Artist Proofs, graded by CGC and numbered without interruption from the first slab to the last. Ten signed in his hand, with JSA-verified Auto grades. Spanning 1995 Chronicles through the 2022 30th Anniversary Edition.
Artist proofs are blank-backed cards issued directly to the artist when their work goes to print. They never enter packs and never touch retail. Every card in this set came from that channel.
Christopher Rush was one of the original 25 artists on Alpha in 1993. He painted the Black Lotus and Lightning Bolt, created the mana symbols, and co-designed the card back. His final new work for Magic was Time Spiral and Coldsnap in 2006.
Set highlights include Gauntlet of Might, Lightning Bolt x2, and a Demystify AP 16/350 graded CGC 7 with a perfect Auto 10 signature.
Slab 001 opens with a Fire Drake. Slab 040 closes with a Nether Shadow.
