Vintage Chinese cloisonne enamel hexagonal box and cover, gilt-brass mounts. Each side panel alternately decorated with a dragon or a phoenix and peony on a deep green ground, between bands of wire-scroll clouds. The cover with dragon and phoenix together, the classic emblem of marriage and harmony. Blue enamel base with original foil factory label. Mid-20th century. Bright enamels; light wear.
