Here is a nice Vintage, Tall Round Embossed Quart (TREQ) TOKEN Milk Bottle, embossed on one side: Champaign / Sanitary / Milk Co. / One Quart Sealed. Embossed on other side: Milk For Health / Safe Milk insiide a cross / Tuberculin Tested / Pasteurized. Embossed on base is large letter S. On this reverse side there is a metal token embedded in the glass, the token is embossed Champaign / Sanitary Milk Co. / Safe Milk inside cross / Trade Mark / Champaign - Urbana. (From Illinois). These embedded tokens or \"pocket labels\" as they were called, was a patented invention by Brook Anderson, Inc. / Pat\'d. Sept. 22, 1925, so that when the milk bottle cap was removed from the bottle, the consumer could see information about the dairy or product.
