Rare 1888 Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) "Rooster on Nest" covered candy dish tureen, manufactured by the historic Challinor, Taylor & Co. of Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Features an intricately detailed lid depicting a rooster with distinct feathers, head, wattle, and comb. The base showcases an elegant pressed glass basketweave pattern rimmed with a 3/4-inch braided ribbon design featuring its original cold-painted gold gilt decoration.
