This is a remarkably attractive high-grade example of an original 1969 Silver Age Marvel comic, featuring the classic “Die, Traitor!” cover by Marie Severin and John Verpoorten.
The swirling yellow-and-red background, enormous green CAPTAIN MARVEL masthead and Mar-Vell battling against the Organization give this issue a fantastic late-1960s Marvel appearance. It\'s the kind of cover that immediately stands out when displayed in a slab.
Inside, Arnold Drake provides the story, with artwork by Don Heck and Vince Colletta. Captain Marvel faces betrayal and execution as a Kree traitor while the story continues Mar-Vell\'s early adventures on Earth.
This copy has been certified CGC 9.0, an especially attractive grade for a comic published more than 57 years ago.

CLASSIC SILVER AGE CAPTAIN MARVEL
Captain Marvel #10 comes from the early portion of Mar-Vell\'s original solo series, less than two years after the character\'s debut.
In “Die, Traitor!”, Mar-Vell finds himself caught between his Kree obligations and his growing connections to Earth. The issue also features Carol Danvers during this early period of the Captain Marvel mythology.
The story was written by Arnold Drake, with pencils by longtime Marvel artist Don Heck and inks by Vince Colletta.
For collectors, however, one of this issue\'s biggest attractions is simply its classic Silver Age presentation.
MARIE SEVERIN COVER
The cover was penciled by legendary Marvel artist Marie Severin and inked by John Verpoorten, a credit confirmed both by CGC and independent cataloging of the issue.
Severin\'s composition is fantastic.
Captain Marvel dominates the foreground while the Organization surrounds him inside a chaotic red-and-yellow spiral. The enormous block-letter CAPTAIN MARVEL masthead gives the book the unmistakable visual character of late-1960s Marvel.
And this particular copy has the grade to really showcase it.
