A large bisque porcelain figure group in the Capodimonte manner: a barefoot country boy in a broad straw hat with his arm over the back of a black-and-white dairy calf, its head lowered and turned out toward you, with a split-rail fence and a tree stump filling out the composition behind.
Photographed from all four sides, at an angle and from underneath, so you can judge it properly.
Condition & Details
No damage found. Across seven views — front, both sides, back, two angles and the base — there are no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no restoration on the figures, the hat brim, the calf’s ears and tail, or the fence rails, which are the fragile parts on a group like this.
Measurements, tape shown in photos 5 and 6: about 8 3/4 in tall and 6 1/2 in across the base.
