In this listing we are offering a pleasing example of an owl slot in head cast iron mechanical bank. This bank was made circa 1920\'s by the Kilgore Mfg. Co. of Westerville, Ohio. The example we are offering is a lot above average examples found as this variety of owl usually turns up with much less paint than this one has. The bank has only seen light use & the major majority of the all original paint is still present. The bank is in sound operational condition. When a coin is inserted in the head the eyes roll up & down.
The bank measures 5 7/8 inches tall. The base is 2 1/4 inches long by 1 7/8 inches deep. The key lock trap is an old & professionally made recast & we do not have a key. The original trap would have had nickel plating as does this old recast trap which is an excellent rendition of the original.
Please examine the photos closely and purchase based on your own judgement as to condition and value.
