A Group of 3 Original General Orders issued at the HQ Assistant Commissioner Bureau Refugees, Freedmen And Abandoned Lands South Carolina, Charleston, S.C including 1 ) April 14, 1866, Planters Contracts for Freedmen Labor,, 2 ) Able-Bodied Freedmen are denied Army transportation, and 3 ) Assignment of Freedmen Bureau Officers to South Carolina Districts, incl Abbeville, Anderson, Barnwell, Edgefield. The Orders were issued by Command of Major General R.K Scott. Each Order is approx 7 x 5\" with blank reverse, with minor edge trimming and tiny binding holes indicating the Orders., although issued individually, were at one point bound by a Freedmen Bureau Officer who served on General Scott\'s staff..
