Of course no one can authenticate this story, but the paper glued inside the case looks period. I look for historic items with hand written provenance like this. I believe if this is a fake, it is a period fake. The watch dates to the time. I don\'t believe there was a market for someone to do that. The family had this in their grandmother\'s jewelry box.
