Here is a vintage Brown & Sharpe Model No. 401* English USA 6\" Combination Square. It has a No. 4 tempered rule with 8ths. 16ths, 32nds and 64ths graduations. All all readable. Head is hardened. Level on the head works good. The scriber in it is a older Starrett, not a Brown & Sharpe, but it is held snugly in its spot. Nice handy size. There is one little nick on one side of the end (more onto the rule than the edge end) of the rule, see the 2nd last photo. Initial engraving on the head is scratched off some, see the last photo with the red pointer.
*Denotes model 401 was sold without the center head. Model 400 was marketed with a center head back in the day.
