This item has a coupleof revolutionary features and is called a Bolt Action Tec-Pen. This penfunctions by sliding the \"bolt\" at the rear of the pen forward andthen up to the locked position. This is a brand new exceptional featurethat adds a different look and works as easily as any other push button orclick style pen. The back of the pen has a rubber tip that workson all capacitive touch screen devices such as a Smartphone or Tablet. Thestylus is very durable and protects your device from any scratches and smudges. As you can see in the THIRD THROUGH SIXTH photo of this item the stylus tip endcan easily be replaced with a regular end cap instead. The pen will come withboth end pieces so you can choose for yourself which one you like better. Adetailed instruction sheet is sent with each pen so you can understand how itworks as well as how to change the end cap and how to replace the inkcartridge.

The wood usedfor turning this pen is BLACK ASH BURL. Each \"eye\" of the burl couldhave grown into a tree branch, which causes the grain to grow in manydirections at the same time. A burl typically also has bark inclusions andvoids, making the wood difficult to turn. During the turning process, naturalflaws such as dark lines, natural voids, knots, worm holes, insect art, etc.,are revealed and add to the uniqueness and beauty of the piece. I use SuperGlue (CA Glue) to finish all my pens. This type of finish is extremely durableand will help keep your pen safe from water, oil and the rigors of daily use.It takes a little longer to use this finishing method and costs a little moreas well. However, the finish is very similar to an acrylic and will last thelife of the pen with no problems. I have been a woodworker for over 20 years, making everything fromcomplete custom cabinetry, to bowls, boxes, and pens on thelathe. However, due to health issues, I now only turn projects onthe lathe in order to give myself something to do for the few hours a day I canstand. When you see pens which have same name, or look the exact same, thechances are that they obtain their kits from the same sources that I use. SinceI do not need to \"make a living\" at this, I can offer the sameproduct, made with great precision, and generally offer it to you for a muchlower price.
