.——Description of This sale——Photos above always show the actual items you will get from me, because I never use "stock photos."Here is a rare item: A large (30 inches by 24.5 inches) 1977 poster print by the great Conan the Barbarian Marvel comics artist Barry Smith (who now goes by Barry Windsor-Smith). This was printed by Barry's Gorblimey Press and is titled "The Book of Samothrace." (It is held down in the photos above by CD cases placed at the corners, which are not included.)This is one of several Barry Smith posters and prints that I am selling now on , so be sure to check out my other listings.I am the first and only owner. This poster never was hung or displayed, just stored in a roll for nearly 50 years, and only taken out now to take the photos above. The flaws are noted below in the "Condition" section of this listing.The paper stock is heavier than that used for flimsier posters such as movie posters. The small text at the bottom left says "The Book of Samothrace Barry Smith," and at bottom right is "1977 The Gorblimey Press 17 West 26th St., New York City 10010 World Rights Reserved."CONDITION: Very Good condition overall. The most significant flaws are the color-breaking white hairline crimps that extend about five inches inward from the bottom right corner at the bottom edge (see close-up photos). There is also some minor chipping edgewear at top right and bottom left, and a small age-tanned discoloration on the back at the top right corner.You'll love it!
