Released in Japan in 1999 at the absolute peak of the original Digimon Adventure boom, the Digimon Analyzer was the "brain" of the Digimon toy line — a clamshell mini-laptop modeled after the one carried by Izzy (Koushiro) in the anime.
While the Digivice and Pendulum let you raise Digimon, the Analyzer let you study them: a built-in reference book of 198 data entries covering 182 Digimon, unlocked one by one through an image-decoding mini-game. It is one of the more unusual and harder-to-find pieces of late-90s Digimon hardware, especially complete with its original box and Japanese manual.
