This listing is for a pair of authentic, empty wooden cigar boxes from JRE Tobacco Farm, featuring the Aladino line. These boxes are styled after the "Golden Era" of Cuban cigars (1947–1961) and are perfect for collectors, storage, or DIY projects like cigar box guitars.

Description

This set includes two distinct Aladino wooden boxes, both crafted in Honduras with traditional cedar-style construction. Each box features the iconic Aladino "1947-1961" branding and a vintage-inspired illustration on the inner lid depicting a classic social scene.

• Box 1: Aladino Robusto

• Color: Natural Wood / Tan

• Dimensions (on box): 50 x 5

• Hardware: Gold-tone latch and "EIROA" engraved hinges.

• Details: Stamped with "Robusto" on the side and front.

• Box 2: Aladino Toro

• Color: Painted White

• Dimensions (on box): 50 x 6

• Hardware: Silver-tone latch and "EIROA" engraved hinges.

• Details: Stamped with "Toro" on the side and front.

Condition:

Both boxes are in good pre-owned condition with some signs of light wear typical of handled cigar boxes. The Robusto box has some minor scuffs on the bottom, and the Toro box shows light surface wear on the white paint. Both latches and hinges are functional. (Please see photos closely for actual condition).

Size Notes:

In the world of cigars, these numbers follow a specific industry standard for size and shape. For the Aladino Toro box (the white one), the 50 x 6 dimensions represent: 

• Length: 6 inches (the second number). 

• Ring Gauge: 50 (the first number). 

What is a "Ring Gauge"?

A ring gauge is the diameter (thickness) of a cigar, measured in 64ths of an inch. 

• 50 ring gauge = 50/64 of an inch. 

• This is roughly 0.78 inches or 20mm thick.

The "Toro" Shape

A 50 x 6 is the classic "Toro" vitola (size). It’s slightly longer than a standard Robusto but keeps that medium-to-thick profile

I only say this because it’s very common for buyers to fail to read the listing before buying, and then later claim that they didn’t get what they paid for and blame the seller. I make sure to add all necessary details and high quality photos to each listing to avoid this very situation.

- ☑️ SHIPPING: I’ve always taken pride in my quick shipping. Most orders will be shipped within 1 business day. In most cases, USPS Ground Shipping will be used, which is usally 1-4 days but delays are always possible. Please have patience when it comes to Sundays and Holidays, since the post office is sometimes closed. If so, i’ll ship the the very next day.

Please understand that as sellers, all we can do is get your item shipped out as quickly as possible, but we can’t control whether the post office experiences delays or other issues. If any issues arise, I always do my best to resolve it as quickly and efficiently as possible, but sometimes the post office has policies that we have to aoffere by.

- ☑️ Item conditions: For the germophobes like myself, I want to assure you that any pre-owned items are cleaned as thoroughly as possible, and I make sure that every item is in the best condition possible before listing it for sale. I believe in quality over quantity when it comes to sourcing items for my shop. I spend a lot of time tending to the small things that most other sellers don’t bother to think about.

I deep clean shoes/sneakers inside and out as best as possible. I wash and repair anything I can. If there are any blemishes or imperfections that i’m unable to fix, they should be in the pictures and/or description.

There’s an area in the product details on every listing that says whether the item is NEW, PRE-OWNED or OTHER. Please view this before buying.
