In excellent condition this is a gorgeous piece of German marquetry craftsmanship designed and made by Buchschmid and Gretaux around the 1950s, possibly late 1940s. The artistic design features a tavern scene with 4 patrons having a very good time as shown by their laid-back demeanor: sitting in a chair backwards, shoes tossed off into the corner, and a chair overturned on its side in the corner.
