- LARGE, Beautiful CRANE BRAND CUTLERY (ENGLAND 1896-1940).
- Extra-Nice STAG POMMEL ON STACKED LEATHER - HUNTER/COMBAT PATTERN
- Blade ricasso clearly stamped with Crane Brand logo.
- Well-balanced and tight knife. No issues with parts fitting.
- Length = 12" total length. Blade length = 6-3/4". BIG KNIFE.
- Handles are stacked leather without issues; tight. Stag is aged and has good color.
- NOTE: No cracks other than usual natural, fine hairline cracks in the aged stag (see closeups; can't even feel the hairlines with my fingernail); it's a characteristic of stag and not due to stress or handling. This stag has no issues otherwise.
- Blade has blood grooves on each side.
- Rounded Sambar-STAG POMMEL with Pommel Screw.
- SHEATH is a heavy, thick-leather WW2-era Mark-2 pattern as used by KA-BAR and CAMILLUS during the 1940s; No issues other than age and handling marks (see photos). Snap works fine, but leather is cracking with age. Pommel screw shows wear, but not bad.
- Used and cleaned; full blade. Blade may have been restored by professional cleaning (hard to tell, but seems to be done well; not by me). Surface spotting and discoloration; needs cleaning.
Well-made old knife. I have not cleaned, buffed, or otherwise modified this knife. No box. Plexiglass display frame and/or other props used in some photos are not included in the sale. See photos for details. No surprises; if I make any mistakes I will refund you.
