Two further confirmations: the neon green embossed title, usedonly on the first of fourteen printings, and the $3.50 US cover price. Later printingscarry different prices and a different title treatment.
WHY THIS ONEThe Joker\'s origin story, and the book that put Barbara Gordon in a wheelchair for thenext twenty-three years of DC continuity. Moore and Bolland at the peak of the Britishinvasion, and one of the two or three most influential Batman stories ever published —its fingerprints are all over the Nicholson and Ledger performances.
CONDITIONRaw and ungraded. My honest estimate is Near Mint.
The good: the neon green title is bright and fully embossed, the magenta and pinktones are strong and unfaded, blacks are deep. Squarebound spine is clean anduncreased with the credits fully legible. Corners sharp, book lies flat.
The flaws: light surface scratching on the black back cover, visible at an angle; the gloss blackcard stock on this printing marks easily.
