Up for sale is a highly complete, 100% original WWII U.S. Army field gear / combat rig grouping. This set was acquired together and features WWII dates on the canteen components and an excellent early-war dated first aid pouch containing a rare variant Carlisle bandage tin.
Included Components & Markings:
1. M1910 Aluminum Canteen: Explicitly stamped "U.S. / A.G.M. CO. / 1945" (Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co.) on the back. Features the correct late-war flat-top black plastic Bakelite cap and chain. The aluminum body is clean with only minor scuffs.
2. M1910 Aluminum Canteen Cup: Stamped "U.S. / T.A.C.U. CO." (The Aluminum Cooking Utensil Co.) on the bottom. Folding handle mechanism is fully functional and secure.
3. M1910 Canteen Cover & M1936 Pistol Web Belt: Canvas retains its khaki shade. The cover features an authentic, faint 1942 stamp. Lift-the-Dot snaps function perfectly with minor natural verdigris buildup.
4. M1942 First Aid Pouch: Nicely stamped "R.M.T. CO. / 1942" on the back.
5. Carlisle Model First Aid Packet (Sulfa Variant): Housed safely inside the pouch is an exceptional condition, unissued metal tin. Front is stamped "Handy Pad Supply Co. Worcester, Mass." The reverse side features the highly sought-after "WITH SULFANILAMIDE" stamp by contractor "Conray Products Company N.Y." The olive drab painted finish is remarkably preserved with virtually no scratches or corrosion.
Condition:
This grouping is in honest, solid field-used condition. The canvas parts are intact with strong stitching and minimal fraying. Metal components show standard aging and light surface oxidation consistent with military surplus gear of this era.
