Title: Authentic Original Hand-Drawn "Wizard of Id" Comic Strip Art - Rare Advertising Gag
Item Description:Up for sale is an authentic, hand-drawn piece of original comic art featuring the iconic characters from the daily strip "The Wizard of Id" (created by Brant Parker and Johnny Hart).
This is NOT a print, reproduction, or mass-market syndication proof. This piece is completely hand-crafted, featuring highly visible black graphite pencil layout lines directly underneath the final black felt-tip pen ink strokes. The smooth line execution and clean presentation indicate this was likely an executive presentation piece or a specially commissioned hand-rendered layout of this classic workplace gag.
Please Note Regarding Signature: There is no visible artist signature on the exposed artwork. In vintage custom framing, the creator's signature or syndicate copyright text is frequently hidden underneath the overlapping mat board margins. It is being sold exactly as shown, with the hand-drawn graphite skeleton lines serving as definitive proof of its handmade, original production nature.
The comic features a highly sought-after satire targeting the corporate world, showing a character applying for a stable-cleaning job and stating they have "been in advertising for the past 12 years." The punchline—"That's close enough"—makes this the ultimate crossover collectible for vintage comic art enthusiasts and marketing/advertising professionals alike.
