Authentic French Limoges porcelain hinged trinket box by Artoria, hand-painted (“Peint main”) in Limoges, France. Shaped as a whimsical gingerbread house on a round base, decorated with colorful candy dots (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, etc.), white “icing” drips, a purple door, green wreath window, and chimney. The round base has a continuous border of multicolored candy dots and gold-tone metal hinge/clasp hardware (ornate clasp detail). Perfect gift for Christmas or winter holiday.
Opens to reveal a hand-painted gingerbread man figure on the interior of the base. Underside marked in black: “Artoria / Peint main / Limoges / France / CA / n°1254” (CA are likely the artist’s initials; the number is typical artist/production numbering on these pieces).
Approximate size: about 2 inches high × roughly 2–2.25 inches diameter at the base. Excellent condition—no visible chips, cracks, or significant wear; vibrant colors and intact metalwork.
