Art Deco Bohemian Amber Glass Decanter – Attributed to Nový Bor, c.1930–1940
Beautiful vintage Bohemian amber glass decanter with its matching glass stopper, attributed to the glassmaking region of Nový Bor, Bohemia (Czechoslovakia), circa 1930–1940.
This elegant piece combines a distinctive Art Deco silhouette with richly coloured transparent amber glass and deeply engraved floral decoration.
The body features beautifully executed deep-cut and engraved floral arrangements, including flowers, leaves and long geometric lines, creating an attractive contrast between the polished amber surface and the frosted decoration.
One of its most unusual characteristics is the distinctive double pouring spout, with two opposing lips formed into the rim. This uncommon design gives the decanter a particularly interesting architectural appearance.
The matching glass stopper has a sculptural pointed form, complementing the Art Deco character of the decanter.
