This decorated Pitcher is made out of a one piece log for the body and the cap, spout and handle have been added.

I was given this pitcher by a woman acquaintence at one of the African Embassy’s in Washington, DC at least 25 years ago when she moved back to her country. I have no idea what kind of wood it is and have never put any kind of water or other liquid in it. I suspect from other things I’ve collected from US embassy friends living in African countries that it may have been made for the tourist trade. It is in perfect condition from a non smoking no pet nor children household. Measures 9 inches high 10 wide spout to handle.
