Antique tool lot featuring an early slotted (flathead) screwdriver and a vintage knife sharpening steel.
The screwdriver is a classic hand-forged style with a tapered shaft and turned wooden handle, typical of late 1800s to early 1900s construction. These early screwdrivers were commonly used before standardized mass production, giving them a more hand-worked appearance.
The sharpening steel features a long rod with turned wooden handle and hanging loop, used traditionally by butchers and kitchens to maintain knife edges. The metal guard is present but slightly loose, as shown in photos.
Both pieces show authentic age wear including patina, surface rust, and use marks consistent with early hand tools. Strong candidates for collection, display, or light restoration.
Great for collectors of antique tools, early hand tools, or rustic Americana pieces.
