Wigtownshire Creamery Pure Fresh Cream pot with the Milkmaid Logo, Stranraer, Scotland, c. 1890’s
The Wigtownshire Creamery was a Scottish dairy that operated in Wigtownshire, a historic county in the southwest of Scotland, within the region of Dumfries and Galloway. Like many regional creameries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it would have played a crucial role in the local agricultural economy, processing milk from surrounding farms into cream, butter, and cheese.
