Beautiful old vanity or jewelry box featuring an ornate wood-tone frame and a glass-covered period-style scene of two elegantly dressed women.The hinged lid opens to reveal an aged mirror on the underside and a divided storage interior. An especially unusual feature is the glass-bottom interior compartments, with a decorative floral-patterned material visible beneath the glass.The lid is supported by metal stays and has an old fabric pull tab. Decorative molded frame has a warm aged gold/brown finish.This piece came from an estate/family collection and was said by the previous owner to have belonged to their mother’s grandmother.
