I am offering for sale this Antique Vintage Stanley Bailey No 5 Type 17 Ca 1942-45 Jack Plane Inv#AC42w

Here we have a fine Stanley Bailey No 5 Type 17 1942-45 wartime jack woodworking plane. The tote & knob are in fine condition, no cracks or splits. The plane\'s japanning has no issues. The sole and cheeks have some signs of pitting & spotting oxidation but will clean up nicely. The plane measures approx., 14\" x 2-1/2\". The cutter is marked Stanley Sweetheart in the notched logo Made in USA. The cutter has cleaned up well. It measures 7-1/2\" L x 2\" W. I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. Stanley is marked horizontal on the lateral adjustment level. A nice clean user plane. It weighs 4.8 lbs.
