Antique Vintage Chinoiserie Brocade Tapestry Table Runner For Sale

Beautiful woven textile featuring a Chinoiserie design with reds tans and both silver and gold metalic accents. There is some wear to the threads and at the edges which I show in the photos. They\'re also appears to be some fading almost equal at each end . At one of the edges the stitching Has Come Undone. I am very glad that it has actually because it allows you to see this very special weaving technique. In the photo you will see three layers of cloth. The top two layers being evidence of a double weaving technique. This leads me to believe that the backing was sewn on at a later date. In my opinion I believe this textile dates to the late 19th century . The backing does have a couple of stains as you can see from the photo. I have photographed the textile in its entirety in sections for your examination with close-ups of some imperfections. The textile measures approximately 12 1/4 in wide by 52 in Long.
