This oval copper cachepot represents the height of late-Victorian decorative metalwork. Masterfully hand-wrought with soft horizontal contouring and flanked by ornate neoclassical brass handles, it makes an ideal indoor bulb trough, desk organizer, or elegant mantelpiece statement. The solid brass handles feature highly decorative central ring flourishes and sculpted brackets, designed to elevate the visual appeal of a formal Victorian parlor room. The upper lip is flawlessly and tightly rolled over an internal iron wire ring, providing a smooth, crisp, and rigid top border that showcases high-end European craftsmanship. Unlike rugged utility pieces, the horizontal structural ribbing on this basin is soft, uniform, and elegantly spaced to emphasize the vessel's refined oval geometry. The decorative brass brackets are structurally anchored to the copper wall using heavy, hand-flattened copper rivets, providing an elegant color contrast against the brass.
