💌 Original Christmas greeting card featuring three children in a snowy winter landscape and the printed poem “Christmas Bells.” Approximately 4.5× 3.5 inches.
🔔 Verse ("Christmas Bells"):
"Hark! the merry pealing bells / Steal upon the rising breeze, / Echo through the snowy dells, / Echo through the leafless trees. / Let all hearts with gladness bound, / Let all hearts be good and true; / 'Peace on earth, good-will around,' / Be our motto, ever new."
The card shows age toning, spotting, edge and corner wear. The reverse has substantial paper loss and residue, likely from prior mounting in an antique Victorian scrapbook album (very common for cards of this era); please review the photos for condition. No maker or date is visible, so the age and publisher are unconfirmed. Sold as pictured. No repairs attempted.
