Charming antique Victorian-style art glass syrup or cream pitcher featuring a molded satin-finish glass body with soft pink and green shading and hand-painted floral decoration.
The glass has an attractive raised swirling and foliate pattern, with hand-painted red and pink flowers and green foliage around the body. Fitted with an ornate pewter-tone metal collar, scrolling handle, spout and hinged lid with thumb lift. The metal collar also has a delicate raised foliate border.
Measures approximately 6 inches high x 4-1/2 inches wide.
The underside bears the hand-applied number 1742. No maker’s mark has been identified.
Good antique condition overall with expected age-related wear. The metal has surface wear, oxidation/tarnish and areas of finish loss, while the painted decoration shows some age wear. Please review photographs carefully for condition and details.
