Antique Thermoplastic Union Case 4th Plate, GILDED, empty, Berg #3-585G (L585) For Sale

This large size case is documented in the second edition of Paul Berg\'s book and is listed as RARE. This example is in overall very good condition having now chips or cracks, just a small amount of edge wear. The gilded medallions retain almost all of the original gold. Both hinges are loosening; the latches engage but will not hold. It is possible that this was never used. There is not pillow, mat, frame or glass. A nice example of a rare quarter plate case.
