Antique The Music Lesson Risque Postcard Remington Supply Co Philadelphia c1905 For Sale

An early 1900s risqué postcard titled \"The Music Lesson,\" published by Remington Supply Co. of Philadelphia, whose globe-and-banner trademark appears on the reverse. The black-and-white printed image shows an Edwardian beauty seated at a grand piano with her gown slipped from the shoulder. A companion in a flowing robe leans over her. It is a playful example of the \"naughty\" novelty cards popular in the American postcard boom.
The reverse is an undivided back, with no dividing line for a message. It is printed \"POST CARD\" and has a stamp box reading \"Place Postage Stamp Here – One Cent United States, Canada & Mexico – Two Cent Stamp for All Other Countries.\" This format dates the card to the undivided-back era of roughly 1901–1907. The card is unposted, with no stamp or postmark. The name \"Marion\" is written in pencil on the back, underlined.
Measures approximately 5 1/4 in. x 3 1/4 in.
