Charming antique miniature sterling silver retractable propelling pencil, designed to be carried as a watch fob, chatelaine accessory or pendant.
The slender cylindrical body has an attractive finely textured crosshatched surface with a suspension ring at the top. The pencil section pulls/extends from the body as shown in the photographs.
Tiny hallmarks are present around the upper collar. Exact maker and date have not been determined.
Approximately 2ΒΌ inches long when closed, not including the suspension ring.

Substantial dark natural patina/tarnish remains on the silver, along with scratches and normal wear from age and use. It has not been polished.
