Antique Steel Finishing / Flooring Trowel – Primitive Mason\'s Hand Tool
Authentic old tradesman\'s finishing trowel featuring a broad steel blade, pronounced offset shank, metal ferrule and well-worn wooden handle. The angled construction allows the blade to be worked nearly flat against a surface and is characteristic of tools used for smoothing and finishing concrete, flooring compounds, plaster or similar materials.
This example has wonderful age and working character. The steel retains substantial oxidation, staining, surface wear and old material residue, while the wooden handle has developed a naturally worn surface from years of use.
Approximately 6-inch blade length as shown alongside the ruler. No clearly identifiable maker\'s mark has been found.
A great display piece for collectors of antique masonry tools, concrete tools, vintage tradesman\'s tools, primitive hand tools, industrial décor or early construction equipment.
Heavily used vintage/antique condition with oxidation, patina, staining, scratches and accumulated residue consistent with its original working purpose. Handle shows age and wear but appears intact. It has not been aggressively cleaned or restored. Please review photographs for exact condition.
