Antique Staffordshire Great Reform Act 1832 Political Commemorative Jug Damaged For Sale

This listing is for a small highly rare and historical antique early 19th-century William IV Staffordshire earthenware political commemorative jug, dating to circa 1832. The piece features striking puce or plum-purple transferware decoration celebrating the passing of the landmark Great Reform Act of 1832. The detailed graphics depict Britannia seated with her shield alongside the heraldic British Lion, a prominent liberty cap on a pole, and multiple streaming banners inscribed with political slogans including \'Union\' and \'Reform\'. The interior and exterior collars are intricately decorated with continuous floral groupings and printed medallions displaying historic declarations such as \'Unity and Liberty\' and \'Commerce and Freedom\'.Standing at approximately 14cm tall with a classically sculpted scrolling handle, this authentic piece of British electoral history displays an exceptionally evocative narrative design from the late Georgian era.Please carefully evaluate the condition photographs prior to purchasing as this specimen has suffered notable structural damage and is sold strictly as a flawed decorative item for historical reference, study, or restoration. The most significant flaw is a substantial, deep impact chip located directly on the edge of the front pouring spout lip. This large historic break has weathered over time, exposing a dark, discolored porous underlying clay core that looks metallic due to age and handling. Additionally, the vessel displays several smaller glaze chips around the base rim, a localized shallow flake on the top of the handle, a tiny glaze bite near the lower handle terminal, and faint internal staining from age.
