Antique Souvenir 23\" Wooden Canoe Paddle, Hand Made, 1900’s, Religious Decor For Sale

Offering this old and authentic 23\" wooden canoe paddle that has what appears to be a Catholic Nun depicted on the blade and has a cross depicted on the hand grip. It is nicely done and is in excellent undamaged condition with great aged wood patina. The photos show front and rear of the item.
This type canoe paddle is typical of those offered by Native Americans in the early 1900\'s and the scenes usually depicted Native Americans in feathered head dress or canoe related scenes. It seems likely that this one relates to religious attempts to convert them to Christian faiths.
