Description:

This is an original early 20th-century Real Photo Postcard (RPPC), meaning the image is an actual photographic print produced on postcard-format photographic paper rather than a conventional ink-printed postcard.

The reverse is pre-printed with \"POST CARD\", a center dividing line, and a CYKO stamp-box logo. CYKO was a photographic paper brand used for real photo postcards during the early decades of the 20th century.

The photographic surface exhibits the tonal depth and reflective characteristics associated with period black-and-white photographic processes, including visible silver mirroring / silvering in some of the darker image areas when viewed under angled light.

The handwritten notation on the lower front reads \"Guam. Aug. 1926\". This appears consistent with the age and type of postcard, although the handwritten date itself is the source of the specific 1926 attribution and is not independently authenticated.

The postcard has never been mailed and the reverse remains otherwise unused.

Antique pre-owned condition with age-related wear.

Notable Wear Includes:

• The card shows general toning and discoloration consistent with age, along with scattered light spotting, staining and foxing, most noticeable on the reverse and around portions of the margins.
• There is a slight overall waviness / curvature to the card when viewed from the side. The card also shows small pressure marks, dings, handling impressions and minor creasing from age and storage. One light crease / impression is faintly visible from the front image side.
• The photographic image displays areas of silver mirroring or metallic-looking reflective toning that become particularly visible when the surface is viewed at an angle under direct light.
• There is additional light surface wear and minor handling wear throughout, with small marks and abrasions visible upon close inspection. Corners and edges show modest age-related wear. No tears or folds are visible.
• The handwritten \"Guam. Aug. 1926\" notation remains clearly visible along the lower front margin.
