During the mid-century era, companies like RockwellSilver Co. or Silver City Glass Co. produced large amounts of floralsilver overlay glass. A mid-20th-century vintage item (circa 1930s–1950s). Veryattractive piece ready for your florals.Manufacturer: Most likely produced by the Rockwell SilverCompany (Meriden, Connecticut) or the Silver City Glass Company.Both companies bought bulk machine-made glass blanks from major factories (likeDuncan & Miller or Anchor Hocking) and decorated them. Process: Thisis genuine sterling silver but applied via electro-deposition. The gridlines and floral patterns were screen-printed onto the glass using a conductivemetallic paint, and then submerged in a chemical bath where electricity bondeda micro-thin layer of sterling silver to the pattern.
