Antique Silk Appliqué Ribbon Embossed Birthday Postcard Pansies c1910 Germany For Sale

Beautiful Golden Age birthday postcard with a REAL applied silk ribbon (soft to the touch), heavy embossing on a ribbed textured background, gilt accents, raised purple pansies, and an inset winter cottage scene. Printed in Germany, c. 1908–1912. Silk appliqué cards are a scarce novelty from the height of the postcard craze. Had been my great grandmother's Agnes Lundblad of Pine City, Minnesota. Condition consistent with age – please see photos.
