Antique Sarreguemines Majolica Emaux Ombrants Plate For Sale

This is a second of two plates like this I have and is a beautiful plate with a slight irridescent sheen to the finish (which made it hard to photo!). The glaze process provides a lovely sense of depth. The Sarreguemines mark appears to have been in use from 1835 to 1900. This was likely produced between 1857 and 1890 based on internet research. Sarreguemines was a long running (200 years!) manufacturer of all kinds of ceramics from tiles to plates like this one. This one features Strawberries.
It measure a little bit more than 8\" across and stands about 3/4\" high at the rim when laid flat.
