This is an exquisite antique Royal EPIAG demitasse set from Czechoslovakia, richly adorned in luminous pearl lustre, deep cranberry red, and elegant 24K gold gilt detailing.
Dating to the 1920s–1930s, this exceptional set of four matching demitasse cups and saucers captures the romantic sophistication of early twentieth-century European porcelain artistry. Each cup features a unique classical figural scene framed by ornate gilded scrollwork, while the iridescent mother-of-pearl finish creates a soft rainbow glow in changing light.
Crafted by Royal EPIAG of Czechoslovakia, these petite-sized cups embody the luxurious decorative style beloved during the Art Deco era. The rich cranberry borders and luminous lustre glaze make this set especially striking for display, styling, or elegant tea or coffee service. Very good antique condition with no chips or cracks noted. There is visible age-appropriate wear to the gold gilt interiors of the cups, consistent with use and age. Exterior decoration, figural scenes, and lustre finish remain vibrant and display beautifully. It is still a gorgeous set!
Cups measure approximately 2.75" Dia x 1.75"H and 3.25" from edge to handle. They hold approximately 4 oz each. Plates measures approximately 4.25 diameter.
