Depicts heavily damaged church ruins labeled 'Kirche Beine,' sent as a field post (Feldpostkarte) during World War I. Postmarked 21 May 1918, written in German by a soldier in the field, with reference to the war. Addressed to Fräulein Liede Bröhlay, Landenwald, Stadt Lingenzell, Württemberg, Germany. The handwriting is cursive and the message references wartime events.
