Antique Orthodox Bronze Cross Pendant — Crucifixion with Enamel Traces
A small cast bronze pectoral cross in the Eastern Orthodox tradition, with rounded quatrefoil terminals, an integral suspension loop, and a raised crucifixion scene on the face. The figure of Christ is shown beneath a rayed nimbus, flanked by abbreviated inscriptions in the side lobes, with a bust figure in the upper medallion. The reverse carries a full Church Slavonic prayer text in relief.
Traces of the original enamel remain in the recessed areas — visible as spots of orange-red, white and green against the dark earthen patina. Surface deposits, softened relief and edge wear are all present and consistent with long burial and age.
