To the best of my research i found similar blades that are within the late 1800's timeframe, from US foot artillery or navy.I am not a professional on this, and can be wrong, so please inspect pics and buy knowing this is not confirmed.it is very heavy and solid. Blade has many "nicks" from what i assume is other blades striking it (see pics)ships very safely within 24 hours
