Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of Japanese porcelain history from the interwar period.
This two-piece set features a classic Art Deco paneled design, beautifully alternating between a striking yellow-gold lusterware glaze finish and crisp white medallions.
Each white panel is meticulously detailed with hand-painted floral vines showing delicate green leaves and pink/yellow blossoms, all neatly framed with brilliant gold-gilt trim.
The underside of the cup features the highly collectible green underglaze "Maruki" (Komaru) backstamp, reading "Nippon Toki Kaisha". This exact hallmark signifies production between 1924 and 1935, placing it right at the height of Noritake's vintage export era.
***This set is in great vintage condition & does have some paint wear on the handle of the teacup. See my pics ***
