Antique Japanese Nippon Porcelain Vanity Tray Set – Morimura Brothers (Noritake) – Daisy & Gold Moriage, c. 1911–1921
A genuine antique vanity set produced by the Morimura Brothers, the early founders of the Noritake Company. It features a delicate hand-painted daisy motif framed by elaborate, heavy gold scrolling and raised gilded moriage beadwork along the borders.
Backstamp: The authentic green "M" inside a laurel wreath — the Morimura mark used c. 1910–1920s, before import laws required the word "Japan." This dates the set to the true Nippon era.
Included:• 1 Oval Dresser / Vanity Tray – elegant scalloped edges. The central cream porcelain is bright and clean. The gold trim shows gorgeous, authentic antique character.• 1 Matching Jar with Lid – the same daisy and moriage pattern. PLEASE NOTE: this jar has a small chip along the edge (shown in the close-up photos). It is included to keep this historic set together for display.
Measurements: Tray: 7" × 10". Jar: 2" × 1.25".
Condition:• Tray: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. Minor, expected age-related wear to the gilded borders, adding beautiful vintage character.• Jar: Small chip along the edge — please review the close-up photos carefully before buying.
A wonderful, highly collectible set — perfect for an Edwardian, Art Nouveau, or vintage vanity display.
Shipping: Fragile porcelain, packed for safe arrival. Calculated shipping.
