Antique early to mid 19th century hunters possible bag with original contents. The bag and contents are in good condition for over 150 years. Inside it has another antique hand leather pouch used to hold a hand forged iron fire starter with flint and scissors It has two hand made stag knives and a pair of spectacles with a pre Civil War dated Methodist Hymn book, a hand forged frog fork, three powder horns with solid brass tacks on the large one and the smallest does not look as old as the other items. The bag has a beautiful hand made strap that is very similar to the one used in the Last Of The Mohicans movie. The hunters bag has four solid brass tacks on the front flap possibly signifying the Native American sign for the four winds or four directions so it may have been made by or carried by a Native American at some time but of no way to prove that. You will get everything you see In the photographs above. The flap on the bag has some damage from heavy wear but the bag itself is in good solid condition and the smallest of the powder horn looks more like a 20th century piece but came with the set and it was all found in Tennessee many years ago.
